Counselling in Bexhill and online UK-wide
ONLINE THERAPY for adults (18+)
I offer online therapy for adults (18+) via Zoom across the UK and the Europe, making therapy accessible wherever you are.
Online therapy offers the flexibility to attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own home, without the need to travel. Many people find they feel more relaxed in a familiar environment, allowing them to engage with therapy in a way that feels safe and comfortable.
I work on an open-ended basis, which means there is no fixed number of sessions. We'll regularly review how things are progressing and continue for as long as therapy feels helpful and beneficial for you.
Session fee: £65 per session | £70 for an evening online session (between 5pm-8pm)
Payment is required in advance to secure your appointment. Please note that I operate a 48-hour cancellation policy.

In-person sessions are currently available on Sundays and are offered on an open-ended basis, allowing us to work together for as long as it feels beneficial.

AVAILABILITY
I offer flexible appointment times between 9:00am and 7.30pm, Monday to Friday, as well as Sundays. Please contact me for current availability.
I offer sessions on a weekly or fornightly basis, depending on each client’s needs, goals, and budget. For long-term or returning clients, I also work on an ad-hoc basis, offering occasional ‘top-up’ sessions when support is needed.
I welcome flexibility - we don’t need to meet at the same time each week if that doesn’t suit your schedule.
I have a limited number of reduced-rate spaces for people on a low income. These sessions are held online, and you’re welcome to mention your interest when you first get in touch.

If you have reached this point, it’s likely that getting support feels important right now. I understand how hard it can be to take this step, and I aim to make starting counselling as straightforward and supportive as possible.
To check my current availability and discuss starting therapy, please contact me via email or through the Contact Me link on my website. Once you get in touch, we will have an initial conversation to explore your needs and availability.
Where possible, I aim to offer your first counselling session within a week, subject to availability. I will always be transparent about waiting times and will support you in finding next steps if I am unable to offer a suitable slot.

For most people, I recommend starting with weekly sessions. Meeting regularly helps us build a strong therapeutic relationship, maintain momentum, and gives you space to reflect on your experiences as they arise. It also means we don't spend as much time catching up, allowing us to explore things in greater depth.
Once you've begun to feel more settled or your circumstances change, fortnightly sessions can work well for maintaining progress or providing ongoing support.
Ultimately, there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. We'll discuss what feels realistic for you, taking into account your needs, goals, availability, and finances, and review this together as therapy progresses.

Everyone is unique. There is no one-size-fits all therapy and duration will depend on the issue you bring and what you wish to get out of therapy.
I work both short (up to 10 sessions), medium (10-20 sessions) and long term (open ended).

It is completely natural to feel nervous when beginning therapy, and I’m here to support you. In our first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other and clarifying what you would like help with. This initial assessment helps me understand your needs, goals, and any previous experience of counselling.
I work at your pace and aim to create a safe, collaborative space where you can feel heard and seen. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to. I am a trauma-informed therapist, which means I work with care and sensitivity, particularly for clients who have experienced any form of trauma.

That's completely okay and much more common than you might think. You don't need to arrive with a list of topics or know exactly where to begin. Some people come to therapy with a specific issue they want to explore, while others simply know that something doesn't feel quite right.
We'll start wherever you are. Sometimes that means talking about what's happened during your week, a feeling you can't quite put into words, or even the fact that you're not sure what to say. There is no "right" way to do therapy.
Part of my role is to gently guide the conversation, helping you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. Often, the most meaningful conversations begin with, "I'm not really sure why I'm here" or "I don't know where to start."scription

I kindly request a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. With sufficient notice, I can accommodate rescheduling based on availability. The session will be charged at the full rate for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.

Yes, it is important that you feel safe during sessions. Qualified therapists undertake monthly supervision but all clients are anonymised in this process. There are some exceptions to confidentiality such as "harm to self or others", terrorist activities, drug trafficking and money laundering or by the order of court. The Counselling Contract will be sent to you prior to our first session, which outlines more about confidentiality.

It's understandable to wonder why therapy costs what it does. At first glance, an hourly fee can seem high when compared with the hourly rate of a full-time employed role. However, that comparison rarely reflects what goes into offering ethical, sustainable therapy in private practice.
A therapy session is just one part of the work. Behind every appointment is time spent preparing, reflecting, completing notes, undertaking ongoing professional development, regular clinical supervision, and running a business. Unlike employed roles, private practice also means covering expenses such as insurance, room hire, professional memberships, training, taxes, pension contributions, holidays and periods of illness.
Seeing clients is emotionally and mentally demanding work. If I were to see 40 clients a week, I simply wouldn't be able to offer the level of presence, care and attention that good therapy deserves. Working sustainably allows me to remain fully engaged, thoughtful and emotionally available for each person I work with.
My fee reflects not only my professional training and continued development, but also the care, responsibility and commitment I bring to every therapeutic relationship. I don't promise quick fixes or guaranteed outcomes, but I do offer a safe, collaborative space where meaningful psychological change can take place.
Looking after myself is an essential part of looking after my clients. By maintaining healthy boundaries, investing in my own wellbeing and continuing to learn and grow as a therapist, I can show up consistently with the presence, curiosity and compassion that this work asks of me.
