Hi and welcome, I'm Iga

I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor. I offer counselling sessions to adults (18+) face to face in Bexhill on Sea, online and telephone from wherever you are (UK & EU).

Are you looking for help because you find yourself lying awake at night feeling worried and anxious?

Would you like to make changes in your life, but you don’t know where to begin, or you’re afraid to get started because you don’t want to get it wrong?

Or does it feel as if everything is just too much and your worries and concerns are affecting the way you live your life and your relationships?

I understand how very lonely and exhausting it is to feel anxious, stuck and overwhelmed. I have been there myself.

Sometimes we can feel guilty or ashamed about things that have happened (or are currently happening) to us that are difficult to talk about. The pain, confusion or worry can become too much.
Perhaps you aren’t even sure what it is that makes you feel like this.

Maybe you are feeling isolated, misunderstood and finding it difficult to share your problems with those around you? Do you feel that you don’t want to be a burden?

Talking can make a real difference. When your feelings are truly heard, understood, and validated by another person, it creates space for change. I’m here to listen and support you as you explore your thoughts and emotions, helping you uncover your own sense of empowerment and agency so that you can start living life you want.

Counselling with me aims to help you:

-
feel understood and less alone with what you are going through
-
reduce feelings and bodily sensations related to stress and anxiety
-
explore more about yourself and why you are feeling the way that you are
-
develop helpful coping strategies
-
become more empowered, resilient, and confident going forward

Living with anxiety can be incredibly draining. The constant swirl of thoughts and the fear of "What ifs" often leave you feeling scared, overwhelmed, and out of control. If you’re struggling with anxiety, it may be affecting many aspects of your life, including work and relationships. It can also lead to burnout.

I can help you understand how your past experiences may have shaped the way you feel today. Together, we’ll work on building healthier, more self-accepting ways of thinking and being, where you start to prioritise your own needs and trust your own judgment. This process will empower you to become a more confident person - someone who can recognize, accept, and express their own thoughts and feelings with clarity and confidence.

My area of interest includes supporting clients who struggle with chronic stress, anxiety and panic disorder.
Nevertheless I have experience working with a range of symptoms such as burnout, bereavement, grief, loss, relationship issues, identity issues, life transitions and low self-esteem. I work with people from many different backgrounds, of all ages.

My approach is to work with and alongside you, providing a confidential space where you can freely share whatever you'd like. In therapy, all emotions are welcomed and valued. You'll be heard and accepted for who you are, helping you recognise that you matter and can take pride in your unique personality just as it is.

The relationship you build with your therapist is crucial to making the changes you’re seeking within yourself. From my own experience, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable, supported, and at ease with the person guiding you through this process.
