What is the purpose of counselling?

Counselling opens up a space in your life where you can be supported to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, develop new insights and self-acceptance. It can support you to move away from feeling stuck, towards making the changes that you seek.

Counselling can help you overcome the difficulties that have held you back, often affecting both your emotional and physical health and provide you with the insights and tools to live your life with joy, peace, and purpose.

Why people seek therapy?

People come to therapy for many reasons. Some are dealing with long-term mental health struggles like depression, anxiety or panic attacks, while others are processing bereavement, coping with the loss of a loved one or managing major life changes. Therapy is also helpful for those struggling with intrusive thoughts, procrastination, ADHD - related challenges, or relationship difficulties. Whatever the reason, therapy can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and improve your relationships.

I offer a 20-minute introductory phone / Zoom consultation free of charge
This is an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have. You may tell me a little about yourself and the issues you are struggling with and we can discuss how I might be able to help.

How therapy can help?

There are times in our lives when things feel too overwhelming to cope with on our own. Therapy can provide support, clarity, and guidance during difficult times, such allowing to make profound and lasting changes. Whether you're dealing with deep-rooted mental health concerns or simply feeling lost and uncertain about what to do and how to make changes, my aim is to support you through this process, helping you understand yourself better and work towards meaningful change.

It might be daunting to start seeing a new therapist, especially if this is your first time in therapy. However, I hope that therapy may quickly turn into a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and inspired.

I offer both short and long-term counselling.

Therapy sessions are usually held weekly: online, face to face or via telephone.

I believe in working collaboratively with you,  you are the expert of your own life and perhaps what you need is someone to help you connect to your inner resources. By listening and helping you to get in touch with your emotions, we can discover the root causes of your struggles and develop strategies to live a more fulfilling life.

Online Counselling

Recognising that modern life can be fast-paced and geographically diverse, I offer online counselling

(in the UK & the EU). Remote sessions bring the benefits of therapy right to your doorstep, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own space.

This option can be particularly helpful if you have a busy or unpredictable schedule, feel more comfortable in your own space, or are shy and anxious about discussing difficult topics in person.
